Project Case Study

Mountain Road Solar Street Lighting in Peru

Solar street lighting for mountain roads in Peru, with separate-panel luminaires following winding routes, rocky slopes, guardrails and sharp bends.

Project Brief

This mountain road solar street lighting proposal in Peru specifies 82 sets of DEL-DS10-90 All-in-Two Solar Street Lights for winding sections and approaches to bends. Reference photographs show guardrails, rocky slopes, steep valleys and sharp curves, with separate-panel solar luminaires following the road alignment. The planned configuration uses 7 m poles at 25 m intervals across a 6 m road width. Neutral 4000K lighting is intended to support nighttime visibility as vehicles approach bends and continue along the mountain route.

The DEL-DS10-90 All-in-Two Solar Street Light is specified for this mountain road proposal in Peru. Its separate photovoltaic panel allows solar orientation to be adjusted independently of the luminaire along winding sections. Each unit pairs a 90 W LED with a 180 Wp monocrystalline panel, 1152 Wh LiFePO4 battery and MPPT controller. A proposed timed dimming schedule manages overnight demand, subject to terrain shading and lighting assessments.
