Project Case Study

Checkpoint Solar Street Lighting in Ethiopia

Solar street lighting for border and remote checkpoints in Ethiopia, with roadside luminaires serving inspection entrances, vehicle queues and approaches.

Project Brief

This checkpoint solar street lighting proposal in Ethiopia specifies 348 sets of DEL-DS10-120 All-in-Two Solar Street Lights for vehicle queues, inspection access and approach roads. Reference photographs show small inspection buildings, barriers, waiting trucks and passenger vehicles, with separate-panel solar luminaires lining both sides of the approach. The planned configuration uses 9 m poles at 30 m intervals across a 7 m road width. Cool 6000K lighting is intended to support nighttime vehicle movement through the checkpoint and its entrances.
