Dialux Lighting Design

A complete photometric design, free with your project. We model the road in Dialux, prove it meets your road class, and hand over the plots, figures and files an evaluator will check line by line.

Proof the light meets the road — not just a brochure claim.

A lumen figure on a datasheet tells you nothing about whether a road is lit to spec. A photometric design does. We build the road geometry in DIALux, drop in the real luminaire photometry, and calculate the average luminance, uniformity and glare against your road class.

The result is evidence: isolux and luminance plots, the uniformity and TI figures, and the underlying IES / LDT files. It’s what turns ‘we think this works’ into a document an engineer or evaluator can verify.

Who this is for
1

Consultants and engineers who need a verifiable photometric basis for a design.

2

Contractors submitting a tender that demands Dialux calculations and IES files.

3

Municipalities checking a proposed scheme actually meets the road class.

4

Anyone comparing two products on real light-on-road, not marketing lumens.

From road geometry to a sealed design.

1
Inputs
Geometry & class

We collect road width, lane count, pole spacing, height and the target EN 13201 class.

2
Setup
Luminaire selection

The right optic and wattage are chosen and the real photometry is loaded in.

3
Calculate
DIALux calculation

Luminance, illuminance, uniformity and glare are computed across the carriageway.

4
Verify
Compliance check

Results are checked against the class targets and the layout tuned until it passes.

5
Deliver
Report & files

A full PDF report plus isolux plots and IES / LDT files are packaged and sent.

A design pack, not a screenshot.

Every design ships as a complete, submission-ready package — the calculation report, the visual plots and the source files behind them.

Before you ask

Still unsure? Send your project details and an engineer will answer directly — usually the same working day.

Q1
Is the DIALux design really free?

Yes, for any active project. We provide the photometric design as part of winning the supply — there's no separate design fee with a genuine enquiry.

Q2
Which standard do you design to?

EN 13201 by default, mapped to the M and P classes. We can also work to local norms or a specific consultant's spec when you provide it.

Q3
Do I get the IES files, or just a PDF?

Both. You receive the full report and the underlying IES / LDT files, so your own engineers or a third party can verify the result independently.

Q4
How fast is turnaround?

Most single-road designs come back within 48 hours. Large multi-road or city-scale schemes are scheduled to your tender deadline.
