Project Background: A Philippine city authority wanted to upgrade its road infrastructure with modern, cost-efficient lighting. Grid extension was not feasible for several districts due to high costs and unstable electricity supply, so solar lighting became the preferred solution to ensure reliable night illumination.
Technical Hurdles: The project required lamps capable of delivering strong brightness for multi-lane city roads while also resisting the Philippines’ hot, humid climate and frequent typhoons. Long battery life and stable lighting during the rainy season were critical factors.
