Project Background: The city of Casablanca launched an urban expansion program that required safe, energy-efficient lighting for a newly built multi-lane highway. Extending the power grid along the entire stretch would have been costly and time-consuming, so the municipality decided to adopt solar-powered street lights as a sustainable and independent alternative.
Technical Hurdles: The project demanded reliable and bright illumination across a long highway stretch with heavy night traffic. The system also had to withstand Morocco’s hot summers and occasional coastal humidity, while ensuring consistent performance throughout the night.
Our Solution: DEL ILLUMINATION supplied 1,320 units of the DEL-DN6-160 all-in-one solar street lights, equipped with high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panels, advanced LiFePO4 batteries, and intelligent lighting control. Our German R&D team optimized the design to meet European roadway lighting standards, while our China-based production team ensured timely mass manufacturing and strict quality control.
