Project Background: To improve night-time safety and support regional economic development, a major Nigerian expressway required large-scale, cost-effective lighting. Grid electricity was unreliable and expanding transmission lines along the road would have been prohibitively expensive, making solar street lights the most practical solution.
Technical Hurdles: The expressway project required powerful illumination to cover wide lanes with heavy traffic flow. The system also had to endure Nigeria’s high heat, seasonal heavy rains, and occasional dust storms while ensuring full-night lighting performance.
Our Solution: DEL ILLUMINATION supplied 1,500 units of the DEL-DB6-150 all-in-one solar street lights. Equipped with high-capacity LiFePO4 batteries, monocrystalline solar panels, and intelligent lighting control, these units delivered strong, reliable brightness. Our German R&D team provided simulation guidance to ensure uniform lighting across long stretches of highway, while our China production team handled large-scale manufacturing with rigorous quality checks.
