Project Background: A new coastal highway in Malaysia required dependable night-time illumination to improve safety for heavy traffic and support regional development. Grid extension would have been costly and vulnerable to outages in this area, so solar lighting was chosen as a sustainable and independent solution.
Technical Hurdles: The coastal environment exposed the system to high humidity, salt corrosion, and tropical storms. The project also demanded uniform brightness over long stretches of highway, ensuring both driver safety and compliance with local road-lighting standards.
Our Solution: DEL ILLUMINATION supplied 1,050 units of the DEL-DN6-120 series all-in-one solar street lights. Designed with anti-rust housing and storm-resistant features, the lamps were well suited for coastal environments.
